BIOGRAPHY

My work is about capturing street life in rural areas in the undeveloped countries, life as lived unchanged or least changed by modernity. Born in Myanmar (Burma). I have traveled widely and lived in Bombay, London, and New York City and bring to my photographs a global perspective. I am very interested in how people survive in indigenous cultures and in some ways how they experience quality of life than those of us in more economically advanced countries. My images focus on people in contexts which reveal the matters of their daily living as individuals and in the mass: in the process of their work, and in the streets and markets. I want to share with the viewer my deep regard for the people who are revealed in these photographs, both their share of humanism and their unique individuality. For me, photography brings an almost spiritual fulfillment as well as creative satisfaction.
